UP 1989 Assists In Nuclear Fuel Drill

Union Pacific helped Denver Fire and other emergency services in a drill yesterday. The drill involved a truck striking a person and a train carrying a container of spent nuclear fuel. Sharp eyes will spot UP 1989, the Rio Grande heritage unit, on the head end. Denver's channel 7 news has the story.

  1. I have been doing some research for Colorado Technical University Class and was trying to look into what the state or a certain county would do if something happened to a train that was carrying Hazardous Material (HAZMAT). What would your procedures be and your plan of action? This would also make a very interesting article for you to write about.
