I would have commented back on your blog,...Hi Ann,

I would have commented back on your blog, but I didn't want to burst in on the conversation that's moving quite quickly.

My father, Robert (or Bob), said he wonders if he was on any of the same trains as you were. He lived in SLC about the same time and he is the same age. He just had a big birthday last week, but he celebrated it quietly. I figure if I make his age, I'm going to invite everyone and their dog to say "Whoopie! Look everybody, I made it!" Maybe my opinion will change later. You never know til you're there.

I read your pages on your blog with interest. First, my condolences on your sister's death last December.

I can understand Jen's body reacting to stress with spasticity. I have similar issues when stress rises. It's not very fun. I"m having to learn how to listen to my body more. My wife has been very helpful, telling me when I'm pushing myself too much. Still, it's hard to slow down when I've got so much I want to do at once! I have at least 4 directions I want to go with this blog and the capacity for maybe half of one. I guess I'll keep writing as much as I can where I can when I can.

Speaking of, it's time for bed. I'll be praying for you and Jen. God bless!

SteveStevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05707188504449041953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21638496.post-40674628797420655582010-08-31T12:39:36.275-06:002010-08-31T12:39:36.275-06:00Hi. I found you via Beth Groundwater who made a co...Hi. I found you via Beth Groundwater who made a comment on my friend Patricia Stoltey's blog. So here I am.

I grew up in Salt Lake. My grandfather was a train man. I have memories of trains. I rode one to Denver twice, when I was 12 and 13, way back in 1952/53; I'm that old. But it's great to have so many memories to use in writing.

You mention being in a wheelchair. I can relate to the problems you must have because I'm caregiver to a daughter who is wheelchair bound. Come over and meet me. I'm happy to meet you. Trains fascinated me. I think Americans have a fascination with trains, especially we older Americans.
AnnAnn Besthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14628616245339887301noreply@blogger.com
